Less money, in far too many instances, means fewer services available at a time when the needs are great and growing. Rare is the agency or program that actually is able to do more than what it did before while operating on less funds.

Time will tell, but Second Harvest Community Food Bank seems determined to be that rare agency — one that will use the resources it has, supplement them with even more volunteers than in the past and do even more than in the past to fight hunger in our region.

2012 will be a year of exciting change for Second Harvest. We encourage everyone to keep posted, follow our evolution and engage as an advocate, donor or volunteer.
