Food Value

Since July 2010, Second Harvest Community Food Bank has distributed more than $11.7 million worth of nutritious food throughout our 19 county service territory. 55% of the product distributed is done so at no cost to our Partner Agencies while 29% of safely sorted and inventoried product is distributed with a modest handling fee of $0.16 per pound. Second Harvest purchases food from the marketplace in truckload quantities and distributes through our CO-OP program. During the timeframe depicted, Second Harvest has provided our partners with over $11 million in food cost savings.
