Neighborhood Assistance Program
Did you know donations of $500 and over (one time or cumulative) for 2014 may qualify for a 50% tax credit through the state of Missouri? If you have business income from a farm operation, rental property, an S-Corporation or royalties, you may qualify. You can find out more by clicking here.
Our NAP tax credits have been used for our current tax credit period (2012-2014), but we anticipate receiving the tax credits again in 2015-2016. Please contact us if you have questions about this program.
Food Pantry Tax Credits
Gifts made to Second Harvest Community Food Bank and designated to our Fresh Start food pantry now qualify for a 50 percent tax credit. All individuals may qualify for this credit for donations up to $5,000. The credits go into effect on January 31, 2013 and will sunset on December 31, 2019. Financial and food donations qualify for this tax credit.
Commemorative gifts may be made in memory of someone or to commemorate a holiday, birthday, wedding, anniversary or other special occasion. Second Harvest will send a personalized acknowledgement card to the person(s) you designate.
