Thank you for your interest in joining the Volunteer Experience by applying to become a Harvest Diplomat. What is a Diplomat? Diplomats who make up Second Harvest’s amazing volunteer force. Second Harvest could not operate at full capacity without the thousands of hours of volunteer work provided through the Volunteer Experience. Diplomats are involved in all aspects of Second Harvest and its programs. 

Second Harvest encourages all Diplomats to take Hunger 101. This one-hour crash course will teach you more about Second Harvest’s vision to build hunger-free communities. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to offer their individual services without adult supervision. Adult supervisor must accompany volunteer ages 10 to 16 and must work beside the volunteer at all times. One adult supervisor is required for every 7 volunteers ages 10 to 16. We are unable to accept court ordered community service volunteers, volunteers currently on probation, and volunteers younger than 10 years of age.
