Second Harvest Community Food Bank relies on the generosity of the communities we serve to nourish our neighbors in need. Last year alone nealry 200,000 pounds of food was collected from food drives. Because we are the only food bank serving Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas, it is vital to maintain the independence and integrity of Second Harvest Community Food Bank.

Due to the frequency of requests for external promotions and to maintain cost efficiencies, the following guidelines have been put into place.

Second Harvest recommends individuals not go door to door to solicit food or funds.

How to Conduct a Food/Fund Drive:

  1. Read the External Promotion Guidelines
  2. Determine commitment: Harvest Helper or Harvest Humanitarian
  3. Read Coordinator's Manual

  6. Harvest Humanitarians must create & submit a Promotion Proposal
(Items needed for the Promotion Proposal are listed in the Exernal Guidelines)
  7. Harvest Humanitarians must sign Scope of Work Agreement created by Second Harvest
