Second Harvest Community Food Bank is proud to announce Christine Feuerbacher as Employee of the Quarter.
Christine started at Second Harvest in November of 2011. She serves as one of two Food Security Coordinators. Some of her duties are providing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) outreach, education and pre-screening of members. She also helps to reduce barriers and continues to educate members on facts rather than myths and false information about SNAP. When asked about what the best part of her job is she says that it is great to make things easier on our members.
Christine receives a lot of positive feedback from her co-workers.
“Christine is a joy to be around,” says one co-worker. “You can tell she truly enjoys what she does.”
“Christine is such an asset to Second Harvest,” says another co-worker. “Because of her dedication you can actually see the hunger gap start to close.”
“Christine has redefined the education and enrollment process for food stamps and in the process supported hundreds of families and individuals in need,” says a co-worker.
When asked about being selected as Employee of the Quarter, Christine just smiled.
