Second Harvest Community Food Bank is proud to announce Keith Percell as Volunteer of the Quarter.

When you first walk into Harvest House Keith is the first smiling face you see. Keith came to Second Harvest in 2011 when we needed someone to volunteer at the Harvest House check-in desk. Our previous volunteer had taken a full time job and would no longer be able to help us. Thankfully, Keith came to our rescue. He walked the through the front door of Second Harvest and asked how he could help. Now Keith works at the Harvest House front desk every Friday morning.

When not volunteering at Second Harvest, Keith is the preacher at East Hills Church of Christ. He is married to his wife Jennifer and has three grown children and two granddaughters.

“Keith is awesome with people,” says a Second Harvest employee. “He always has a smile and is a pleasure to be around.”

“Keith serves every client with a warm smile and kind words. He is always willing to go the extra mile, and help in all capacities,” says another Second Harvest employee. “He has an incredible sense of humor and it is a joy to work with him on Fridays. It's too bad every day is not Friday.”

“Keith is a good person,” says a volunteer. “He is an awesome guy.”

When asked about what was the best part of working in Harvest House, Keith said he enjoyed working with other people and serving our members.
